Young has taught and performed African dance for 43 years and is back this year to provide participants and audiences of all backgrounds and ages an opportunity to actively experience an African cultural art activity consisting of dancing, singing and drumming. Contemporary art movements focused on "how" art was created and disseminated, rather that "what" was produced. Inspired by his weekly pick up of organic vegetables from the Fertile Grounds Community Shared Agriculture (CSA), he began working on a series of vegetable paintings, celebrating the locally grown food that nourishes him and his neighbours.
